finally... the weekends are here... thought i wouldnt be able to live thru the first week of classes... my schedule is all messed up... i guess i do need someone to check on me still time and again...
well... i managed to finish all my homework without difficulty and survived all the lessons... except for geometry which is when i keep falling asleep...
though i need not wake up as early as before.. im still not as alert and all.. mapyb its cause im not used to the system here yet... anyhow... i love the lessons taught and most of my teachers....
well... im takin english, calculus, geometry and drama for the first semester... they are relatively easy subjects and not boring either... i guess the only reason i sleep in geometry is cause the teacher is boring... however... all the lessons require me to take notes down.... but luckily i got used to it in singapore...
in calculus, im being taught by the head of the math department and she's quite strict about maths i must say... she's a killer esp to the china chinese(china army)... though we are takin grade 12 math.. she treats us like pri school kiddies... geezz... it gets on my nerves... she's so particular about everything... so meticulous...
drama is the most fun-loving lesson.. i get to play activities every lesson... and as the days go by... they get more and more interesting... haha... we get to do pantomimes... which is to act without the use of speech... its really really cool... now we are learning about the history of theatre... did you know that drama actually came from the primitives... from the dances and rituals of shamans or witch doctors... and they actually use masks which is the logo of drama today... im oso learning about greek history now and how drama is part of its history... so drama is more than the eye can see really...
geometry... well.. its really boring not because of the content nor the homework but the teacher... this is the only lesson where i sleep in class... i cant really understand the words coming out of his mouth... he keeps mumbling and all.. its really frustrating when u r like struggling and he's only making matters worse... but im must say that his notes are really good though it requires loads of copying...
i think english is really interestin cause it s different from the english i learnt back in singapore... its more focused on writing essays and critics... on the other hand... its very much like literature... our thoughts and feelings.. otherwise known as anecdotes... oso play important roles in our writing... we are currently required to read a novel 'The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz'... its a really weird novel... i guess its cause i cant really appreciate it... but still... i must finish reading this novel asap... well... ive only started today so hopefully ill finish it by sunday or sth....
i just came back from bath and before was laundry which took me over 1 and half hours... but i guess it was worth it... i didnt do any work today so plannin to finish my homework by tml morning.... den ill be heading off to school to play soccer... and sunday ill have to make my way to church and i dunno where the school will be takin us on sunday as well...
the weather here and really a changing factor... it can change from -4 to 4 overnight... crazy ritez... well.. now the temp is around 3 and its suppose to be -ve by tomorrow... hopefully i can enjoy another beautiful snowfall...
